GDPR A2Z

A training event by the Israel Tech Policy Institute, Together with The Privacy Protection Authority and The Future of Privacy Forum

About
The Event

The most comprehensive regulatory reform in a generation, Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on May 25, 2018. With geographic scope extending far beyond the borders of Europe, and material scope reaching across all industries, GDPR affects numerous Israeli companies not only in high tech, online, mobile, cloud and IoT, but also in financial, healthcare and telecom markets. In this session, leading global data protection experts provide a hands-on, practical training session to help your company prepare for, implement and comply with GDPR. The session will address the following issues, and allow the participants to engage with the presenters in extensive Q&A:

  • Determine if GDPR applies to you
  • Start data governance program and appoint a DPO
  • Perform data inventory and mapping
  • Ensure legitimate bases for processing
  • Understand consent
  • Conduct risk analysis and DPIA
  • Enable data subject rights
  • Manage vendor relations

Participation is free but registration via Tel Aviv University CyberWeek is required.
